UK skill-based prize competitions operated by Your Lucky Day (YLD). Please read carefully before entering.

1. Promoter

The promoter of all competitions is Your Lucky Day (YLD).

Your Lucky Day operates skill-based prize competitions within the United Kingdom. Registered business name: Your Lucky Day (Private Limited Company registered in England & Wales).

2. Eligibility

  • Entrants must be 18 years or older and reside in the United Kingdom.
  • Competitions are not open to employees, contractors, or family members of the Promoter.
  • Each entrant may submit one free entry per competition.
  • Duplicate, automated, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.
  • Entries must be submitted via the official website during the stated open period.

3. Nature of the competition

  • All competitions are skill-based, requiring a correct answer to a question or challenge before entry to the draw.
  • Competitions are not lotteries or games of pure chance and operate under the skill-based exemption within the UK Gambling Act 2005.

4. Entry methods

A. Free entry route (launch phase)

  • During promotional periods, YLD may offer free-entry competitions.
  • Submit one free entry by completing the online form at yourluckydayuk.co.uk and correctly answering the skill-based question.
  • Free entries have the same odds of winning as any paid entries.

B. Paid entry route (ongoing competitions)

  • Paid competitions cost £3 per entry unless stated otherwise.
  • Each draw has a maximum of 3,000 total entries. When full, competitions are marked “SOLD OUT ”.
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe or PayPal.

5. Entry limits

  • Only one free entry per person per competition.
  • Paid entries may also be capped per person depending on the draw.
  • Attempts to bypass limits or use multiple identities will result in disqualification.

6. Skill question

  • Each competition includes a skill-based question that must be answered correctly.
  • Only entrants providing the correct answer are entered into the random draw.
  • The Promoter may change or replace the question if required.

7. Prize details

  • Prize information, including value, description, and closing date, will be clearly stated on each competition page.
  • Example prizes include:
    • Tax-Free Cash (e.g., £5,000 or £10,000)
    • Rent Paid (one or multiple months)
    • Supermarket Vouchers
    • Energy Bills Paid for a Year
  • All cash prizes are paid by UK bank transfer within 72 hours of winner verification.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for alternatives.
  • Winners must ensure their personal and bank details are accurate.
  • For prizes such as rent or bills we will require a valid tenancy or proof of cost before payout. We do not discriminate against those receiving government benefits. All prizes are gifted in good faith and classed as non-taxable gifts.
“Tax-Free Cash” means YLD covers any applicable UK tax liability on the prize. Winners should seek independent advice for personal circumstances.

8. Draw process & winner selection

  • All eligible, correct entries receive a unique entry number.
  • The winner is chosen at random using a verified Random Number Generator (RNG).
  • Draws are conducted privately and securely under internal supervision to ensure fairness.
  • Where appropriate, a brief draw record or screenshot may be published on social media at the Promoter’s discretion.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final and binding.

9. Winner notification

  • Winners are contacted via the email address or phone number supplied at entry.
  • YLD will never contact winners by social media direct message.
  • Winners must reply within 7 days; otherwise, a redraw may occur.

10. Publication of winners

  • For transparency, the winner’s first initial and general location (e.g., “S. Brown – Manchester”) may be displayed on the official social channels.
  • By entering, participants consent to this limited publicity. Testimonials are optional.

11. Refunds & cancellation

  • Once an entry is confirmed, no refunds are available unless YLD cancels the competition.
  • If cancelled, all payments will be refunded within 7 working days to the original method.

12. Liability

  • The Promoter accepts no liability for technical, network, or payment issues.
  • The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, or corrupted entries.
  • No liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from participation or prize use.

13. Data protection

  • Personal data is processed under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Data is used only for administering competitions, contacting winners, and transparency.
  • Data is never sold or shared for marketing purposes.

14. Fairness & integrity

  • All competitions are run fairly and transparently.
  • YLD may postpone or cancel draws due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Fraudulent or abusive behaviour leads to permanent exclusion.

15. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
